Paying HMRC via Debit Card/Corporate Credit Card
You can also pay HMRC with a debit card or corporate credit card.
Click on this link to access the HMRC Payment portal.
You will need to pay “Self-Assessment”, and the payment reference number is your 10-digit UTR number.
If you would prefer to negotiate a Time to Pay agreement with HMRC, that may allow you to spread the payments over a longer term.
You can only do this online if:
- You have a Government Gateway account
- have filed your latest tax return
- owe less than £30,000
- are within 60 days of the payment deadline
- plan to pay your debt off within the next 12 months or less
You can either do this online here: HMRC Time to pay portal.
